Philippine Rice Bowl Startup Awards 2016

A powerhouse partnership – Global Startup Awards joined forces with the ASEAN Rice Bowl Startup Awards to host a series of regional events as an exhaustive celebration of startup achievement for 2016. A SPACE has been selected as the Country and Community Partner for the Philippine Rice Bowl Startup Awards 2016 Nationals, and the Regional Finals Partner to be hosted this year in Philippines.

Last year the Rice Bowl Awards was hosted to great acclaim in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

On June 15, 2016 at A SPACE Greenbelt, The nominations were vetted and shortlisted by different national ambassadors. The shortlisted nominations then went through a final judging round held later that same day at A SPACE Greenbelt ROCKSTAR Room.

The Finalists of the Philippine Rice Bowl Startup Awards 2016 are officially revealed today. This is part of an international awards program to celebrate entrepreneurship that will culminate at an ASEAN Awards gala in Manila this September, and a Global Awards gala this November in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Winners of the ASEAN Startup Awards will compete in November at the Global Startup Awards finale, this year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Founder of A SPACE Philippines, Matthew Morrison shares, “The Philippines’ startup ecosystem continues to expand and gain global recognition, and A SPACE is honored to celebrate the good work in partnership with the Rice Bowl Awards. Giving Filipino startups the opportunity to win the National Awards in July, progress to the Regional finals in September – also being held in the Philippines – and then potentially go on to success at the Global Awards in Kuala Lumpur, in November – that’s just one big happy WOW Philippines!”

Best of luck to our fellow Rebels. Support the startup nation and join us at the Nationals this month – you may get your passes here. See ya.
