Slate Manila’s NOVUS PRAETERNATURA Opening Night

Start-up art management firm, Slate Manila, holds its first exhibit at A SPACE Manila Gallery, Greenbelt on November 14 2014.

Samantha Jacinto and Danielle Osmeña of Slate Manila curated artworks from 10 of the best up-and-coming artists in Manila for their first exhibit and art sale entitled ‘NOVUS PRAETERNATURA‘.

Novus Praeternatura is understood to be that which lies between the natural and the supernatural. It springs forth from beyond the mundane and is found to be rooted in man. The unique pieces we present to you in our first exhibition reflect this through their interpretations of man and the world that surrounds him.

Each of our artists contributes a unique perspective to the genre of surrealism, presenting a unified picture of the progress of the movement as a whole. Through our presentation of these collective artists, we celebrate the diverse styles that represent Novus Praeternatura as present in our budding local art scene.

With Slate Manila’s mission to seek out contemporary artists who work in various mediums — which include mixed media, sculptures and paintings — NOVUS PRAETERNATURA features the works of Jonathan Benitez, Gromyko Semper, Sayid Cedicol, Isobel Francisco, Gao Rezaga, Jared Yokte, Melvin Guirhem, Norlie Meimban, Miko Sandejas, and Josue Mangrobang.

The exhibit’s opening mixer happens on Friday November 14 2014 6PM at the A SPACE Gallery, Greenbelt. Check out the Events page on Facebook to RSVP!
